Anticipation

12 x 12" oil on canvas

Hungry anyone? Growing up in Pittsburgh we always had a bottle of our favorite local made Heinz ketchup on the table anytime we were having burgers and fries. Remember that commercial?...the ketchup bottle tilted, waiting for it to drip out, Carly Simon's Anticipation song playing in the background.

Fresh Picked

'fresh picked'  6 x 6" oil on canvas/wood

These yummy group of citrus had just been picked at my cousins house in California. They were posing on the table, waiting for me to take their picture.
By the way, the colors on this are much brighter in person, the background is bright white. Maybe it's just my old computer monitor :-/

This is the 2nd painting from my parents breakfast table in Italy. Mmm...I can just smell the sweetness of that dounut! Too bad there's no crispy creme shop near my house.
The 1st (other half of the breakfast table) painting is my Italian coffee painting.

Italian coffee

Not long ago my parents took a trip to Italy. Knowing that I could use most of the pictures from their trip for photo references my Mom had her eyes on everything asking herself,
"What would make a good painting?"
Well... one of the first photos I looked at on the CD they gave me had a picture of their breakfast table in a cafe. I liked it so much that I created 2 paintings from it, thanks Mom!
